Hewlett-Packard Product Assistant is installed when you install an HP all-in-one hardware deivce and is used to communicate various functions between the device and the PC. This is installed with either the driver or HP Digital Imaging software suite included with the device's installation. The digital imaging software enables the computer to recognize equiptment as an HP device.
